About Amelia Bryan

Amelia Bryan is the pseudonym of two friends who met working for the Department of Commerce and have since gone on to varied careers in banking and home furnishings. This biography is an amalgamation of both of us, and yet neither of us. It is the idealized friend who, like our characters, Jaycie and Cam, is well traveled, smart, brave and most of all a loyal friend.

Amelia Bryan was born in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland on September 18, 1972. When she was four years old, her father joined the cardiology staff at the Cleveland Clinic and her family relocated to Shaker Heights, Ohio in the United States. After graduating from Wellesley with a BA degree and Georgetown University with a MA in Foreign Service, she worked as an International Trade Specialist in the U.S. Department of Commerce, in Washington, D.C.

In 2000, she left government service to attend graduate school at Harvard University. After earning her MBA degree, she joined JP Morgan in New York City and also served an overseas banking assignment in Milan, Italy. In 2020, Amelia left the business world to fulfill her lifelong dream to become a writer of mystery stories. Renoir’s Revenge is her first novel.

She currently lives in New York City with her husband, an Italian journalist.
